I am a single mom to an amazing teenage boy and for the past several years I have been (with less consistently than I would like) writing a different blog – Letters From a Single Mom – about my journey becoming and as a single mom. LFaSM has been a huge help to me over the years, but there is so much more to my life and who I am than just the fact that I am, now, a single mom. As I have healed and found my way back to myself I have wanted a place where I could share, explore and enjoy the other sides of who I am. Yes, I have had LFaSM, but it honestly didn’t really feel like the right place to be able to embrace and share my lighter, more playful side, so the idea for Geeky Mom Life was born!
I have always been proud to consider myself a geek and to be sharing those things with my son as he has grown up and this blog feels like a great way to be able to share and explore the various fandoms and geeky things that I absolutely love with others outside of my small circle. The blog may be live, but it is still under construction so please be patient as I continue build it up and refine it over the foreseeable future.
There are so many things that I am looking forward to writing about as part of this blog and exploring all the different fandoms that I already love as well as hopefully finding some new ones! I can’t wait to be able to geek out with everyone about everything from anime to video games and just about everything in between!!!
My Son
My son, is a relatively typical teenager. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing video games (Deltarune and Legend of Zelda and pixelart style games are among his favorites), watching anime (like One Piece, DragonBall/DragonBall Z, My Hero Acidemia and many others) and is looking forward to building a gaming computer for himself at some point in the not too distant future.
